The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas has issued a final judgment in favor of Alavi Anaipakos’ client, Safe Foods Corporation, in a patent infringement lawsuit that has significantly impacted the U.S. poultry industry.
Amir Alavi led the Alavi Anaipakos team, which included fellow firm attorneys Scott Clark, Brian Simmons, Steve Jugle, Justin Chen, and Joshua Wyde.
During the hard-fought case, Alavi Anaipakos secured a major ruling in favor of Safe Foods that invalidated plaintiff Enviro Tech Chemical Services Inc.’s patent for poultry preparation. In addition to Safe Foods, Enviro Tech had sued scores of other companies in the poultry industry.
In the judgment entered on June 25, 2024, the Arkansas federal court found “in favor of Safe Foods Corp on all of Enviro Tech’s legal claims in this case” and held that Safe Foods is eligible to recover its costs for defending the lawsuit pending additional court briefing.
